Our trees did agree. This confirms that the alstroemeria is closely related to the echinacea as opposed to the kangaroo paw. This also confirms that pollen morphology is similar in the alstroemeria and kangaroo paw, because they had the same surface texture and pollen type of monocolpate. This makes sense based on our research and everything we know about plant species.
